Welcome to the blog!

Hello everyone! Jason here, and I want to share with you my travels and local favorites smoked or grilled by yours truly, all over the USA. I have been grilling and smoking meats for years. I’ve even participated on a couple of cooking teams that have competed for best bbq on the planet at the Memphis in May World Championship bbq cooking contest.

For the past two years, I’ve been traveling the country with my family in our fifth wheel camper. You can check us out here. One thing I’ve learned along the way is, there are many ways/techniques to cook while camping. I’ve tried quite a few and have determined that for grilling/smoking, the kettle grill is the most versatile of them all.

Versatile equipment is important because, living in a camper full-time, you need to have tools, and appliances that can cover multiple duties. You simply do not have the space to haul around large smokers and grills all the time. Follow me as I grill and smoke our way around the country, cooking foods that are indigenous to the areas we are exploring. All in my trusty ole Weber kettle grill that I’ve owned for over ten years!
